Get to Know Us

Diana graduated from Fanshawe College in 2001 from the Child and Youth Counsellor program. Since then, Diana has worked at Vanier Children’s Mental Wellness with children and youth under 14 who are experiencing complex needs and mental health diagnoses.  Diana has worked in residential settings, schools, and treatment foster homes. 

For the last 16 years, Diana has been part of the Tandem Crisis Response and Service Coordination team in London and Middlesex, LHSC children's hospital and crisis support centers.  Diana has continued to enhance her knowledge through professional development days on solution-focused therapy, brief narrative therapy, and attachment, and she has been trained in Circle of Security Parenting. Diana has had the privilege of attending training with Matthew Selekman LCSW, CRADC  -Solution-focused strength-based treatment in attachment with children (Secure base-safe haven coding system) and received a certificate of completion in Brief competency-based therapy.

Diana has a wide range of experience related to trauma, suicide, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, practices in crisis management, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Autism, and communications skills. 

Diana enjoys spending time with her family in her free time, including being rink-side as a hockey mom.

Tina Gowing, B.A.Sc

Tina graduated from the University of Guelph in 1989 with honours, with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Family and Social Relations. After starting her career in child care, Tina has worked at Vanier Children's Mental Wellness since 1992. Tina has held various roles at Vanier Children's Mental Wellness, including residential treatment, on-campus day treatment, consulting in the School Community Intervention Program and Crisis/Intake and Service Coordination. Tina has over 30 years of experience working with children, youth and their families. Tina has a broad range of experience working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma and has been trained to incorporate brief-solution-focused counselling with children and youth struggling with emotional regulation, social issues, suicide, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy approaches. 

Tina enjoys time with her family, travelling, reading, and arts and crafts in her free time.
